Something unexpected
Check out this optical illusion. Interestingly I expected to fall in the left-brain category. I'm a computer programmer with a fairly large mathematics background. However, I've been trying to see the dancer turning anti- (counter-) clockwise for some time now. No matter how much I concentrate I can't do it. I always see clockwise.
What about you?

Clockwise here--but then I'm rightbrained.
I don't even see how she can be going anti-clockwise...
My mathematically inclined son also saw her going clockwise.
My husband (who served a mission Down Under and before looking at it) implied that Aussies have a different clockwise? He saw her going clockwise, too.
I think there's a conspiracy... *wink*

the first time I looked at it - she was only going counter clockwise.
Just now I looked again - she went counter clockwise again and then just started spinning clockwise.
now she only spins clockwise.
What a trip.

Try looking at the left of the picture, as if reading the words instead of at the picture. After you think you see it change a couple of times, then look at the picture. Repeat, and be mind boggled how fast you can switch her. I actually got her to pivot left then right a couple of times!

Clockwise at first for me... I figured out that if I look at her shadow beneath her feet for a few seconds, that I can coax my brain into making it seem like she's spinning the other direction. Interesting.
