Went to see Ice Age: The Meltdown in Las Vegas over the weekend. Why Las Vegas? Visiting family. Why Ice Age? With the kids.

I liked Ice Age (the original). I didn't like it the first time I saw it, but I've liked it more and more each time I've watched it with my kids. It's a fun movie with a fun cast of characters. Ice Age: The Meltdown built on that. It wasn't unexpected (for example, Sid didn't acquire Force Powers and become a Jedi Master), but it was fun. If you liked the first one, you'll like the second one. 1.25π.

A word of advice: Don't see this or any other movie in the theater where I saw it. It was in Las Vegas on Rampart somewhere (not the SunCoast one, but close to it). I've never been in a more disgusting theater. Dirty, unkempt, popcorn and junk all over all the floors. Nasty. Germophobes could experience cataclysmic meltdowns (nice tie-in, huh?) at that theater.

We did get to see a teaser of The Simpsons Movie there.
