Idol On Queen
Okay, I like Queen. So, maybe I'm biased, but last night's performances were better than they have been for several weeks. There were definitely some odd choices, but overall it was very entertaining. When Kellie started Bohemian Rhapsody, I thought that was going to be the worst idea ever. I actually enjoyed it. I don't think it was the best vocal, but it was rather entertaining.
For me, the best of the night were Elliot, Chris, Katharine and Taylor. Elliot served up a great vocal. Taylor was pure entertainment (good to see him back!). I liked the song Chris picked and I think it showed both his talent within his genre and his vocal skill. Katharine picked a great song for herself and looked great. Overall it was a very entertaining night of Idol.
I expect Ace, Bucky and Paris (wow, her performance was painful) to be in the bottom three. I'm picking Ace to go home. It's inevitable. I'll be right eventually.

I am the hugest Queen fan around, so I too was really excited about last nights Idol. I've never voted for an Idol singer before ( I simply enjoy the show and like to watch the chips fall where they may) but last night was the first time. And oddly enough it was to vote AGAINST someone...not FOR them. Watching Ace instruct Brian May on how he would like WE WILL ROCK YOU to be played was too much. He tried not once, but twice! I was delighted to see Brian politley tell him "were not going to play your arrangement of our song"...or some such thing. Someone should have schooled Ace on how to not insult these icons who were rock legends before he was a even a gleam in his papas eye. Simon rightly characterized his performance as "We Will Rock You... softly". Of course, Simon got the expected booing...and when Seacrest asked Ace how he thought he did...Ace gestured his arms out to the audience and said"I thought I rocked." Hardly. Btw, notice how panic stricken he looks come Wednesday? Go Elliot, Go Taylor.

Well, you will be right eventually about Ace, looks like it will be next week though. I was really disappointed to see Elliot in the bottom three instead of Paris. I really think he is an incredible singer and deserves to make it further. This is the point where things start to get interesting. ;o)

I missed the show - dang it. Had tickets to the baseball game and then the d'backs sucked.
Then to top that off - I had to miss the results show due to working late.
I've been trying to find some of the videos online - especially Taylor.
